About James Cagala

James Cagala is a licensed Mortgage Broker based in Scottsdale Arizona. For nearly 17 years, he has helped his clients achieve their dreams of owning their own homes through his honest and empathetic approach to mortgage origination. He is the owner of American Mortgage Source, LLC since 2006.

James began his career in the Chicago area as a corporate accountant after graduating from De Paul University in Chicago. The experience in the accounting arena provided him with an immense knowledge regarding financial assessment and ultimately contributed to his next foray in the mortgage industry.

He later moved to Arizona and worked within the construction industry as a Controller for mid-sized construction companies building new homes in Arizona and Hawaii. When the time was right, James decided to make a career change and started from the bottom up to learn the business as a loan originator and within a 2-year period started his own branch operation managing a group of loan officers in the residential mortgage industry.

After this period, James became a licensed Mortgage Broker and continued to build his business base. James attributes his success to hard work and his honest, empathetic approach that he believes allows him to build long-term fulfilling relationships with his clients, something that sets him apart from other loan originators in his industry.
